Perimedia Lab is the world’s first laboratory devoted to the study of periphenomena.

The lab is operated by Szacsva, a periartist and Pál, a periresearcher.

All along the years of their collaboration, Szacsva and Pál have been intensely trying to bring closer their so fundamentally different approaches to the world: the peritheoretic interest of the one and the periartistic way of expression of the other. The more and more successful assembling of the two has eventually lead to their almost complete pericharismatic fusion. Now, they often sign their peripoetic work as one single author: Szacsva y Pál.

Perimathesis is the central episteme through wich they try to understand how we exist and how we coexist. The perimathetic approach is based on the discovery that biologic life, social life and intellectual life are all equally organized alongside peristructural patterns (their micro and macro structures are constituted of circularly arranged or revolving elements around a nucleic center). The totality of these many different peristructures eventually make up a so called periverse, where communication is possible almost exclusively through perimediation.

Perimediation in their view is a special form of conveying information, where the data flow does not dirrectly advance from one actor to the other during the communicative action. The perimediated condition means that each of us continuously has to live surrounded by a so called peri-information cloud. The peri-information cloud is made up of the informations we have emited but which, for some reason could not get out of our own information shell (these are for instance our thoughts which do not get easily expressed) to which add up those informations emmited and dirrected to us by others, but which could not really reach our consciousness and consequently orbitate around, waiting for the suitable moment to pierce through our peri-information cloud. (These are for instance informations which were addressed to us and which we "nominally" recepted but not really thought over yet.) If someone "really" wants to get her message to someone else, first, one has to find her way out through this massive orbital flow of information that surrounds the self, and secondly she has to penetrate the peri-informational aura that surrounds the „other”. At the same time, we often unintendedly communicate due to incidental interference between our peri-information clouds. This phenomenon Szacsva and Pál consider to be the purest form of pericommunication.

It is worth mentionning that the perimediated condition doesn’t only impede us to easily communicate with others. It equally hinders one to properly dialogue with the self. Being perimediated means that we are in a mental state in which we can access our own consciousness only if we do the effort of first getting out of our own peri-information cloud (where most of the time our attention is errating) and if we get to the place where our more "independent" self is stationed. And though in the meantime it is important to keep in mind that such a thing as totally "independent self" in fact never exists, we have to admit that our endeaviour to get to it however is the one that drives us to take a serious critical stance towards our pericloud.

One should also notice that pericommunication (and the peristructural organization of life in general) does not only characterize our times. In our days, however, due to the developments in communication technology pericommunication has become much more intense, much more spectacular. (Our periclouds have "thickened".)

Szacsva and Pál discovered that an important amount of pericirculating information is the product of news manufacturers, by which the peri-information cloud of each of us mostly is being fed. The kind of information circulating thanks to these services have a more or less impersonal character. Receivers have the feeling of communicating with somebody who speaks in the name of an authority which legitimates itself through its own pretended truthfulness. However, we all know that truth is a difficult matter when we consider it in relation to empirical facts. In place of entering this rather philosophic debate, Szacsva and Pál adopted a working method which they believe help them more to discover some of the essential characteristics and underlying motives of this type of communication.

Szacsva and Pál in fact have found that besides their intended message the news manufacturers often deliver some incidental messages, which normally get stuck in our peri-information clouds or simply wreathe around and between us. Szacsva and Pál believe these incidental informations have to be methodically extracted and analysed because it seems that they have some valuable meaning; often more valuable than the information which is intentionally conveyed by the news sources... This is the task of the peripublication, issued daily by Szacsva and Pál. Going through the pages saved in the periarchives one can review the days of the year as Szacsva and Pál perceived them through the "media" and one might discover a bit more about the periversal functionning of our world.
